The cultural office held a meeting with Japanese universities to talk about Saudi students’ return to Japan
Because of the earthquake, Saudi students on scholarship have been sent back to their home country. However, as new academic year starts in Japan, they need a smooth reentry. To discuss this matter, the Cultural Office in Tokyo held a meeting with Japanese universities under the instruction of the Ministry of Higher Education. At the meeting, Cultural Attaché Dr. Essam Bukhary and approximately 50 representatives from Japanese universities had a discussion on how to respond to problems that students might face upon their late arrival in Japan. Measures such as late registration and make-up lessons are considered. In cooperation with universities, the Cultural Office intends to support Saudi students so that they can successfully continue their study in Japan.
