Director of King Abdelaziz University holds several high level meetings with executives in academic and industrial fields during his visit to Japan
During his visit to Japan from the 2nd to the 5th October 2011, His Excellency .Dr.Osama Al.Tayeb, the director of King Abdul-Aziz University held several meetings with top executives in academic and industrial fields.
His Excellency’s meeting with Dr. Ryoji Noyori,, the president of RIKEN and the winner of Nobel-Prize in chemistry in 2001, focused on discussing ways to strengthen further the cooperation relations between King Abdul-Aziz University and RIKEN.
His Excellency also exchanged his opinions about building cooperation relationships with different Japanese research institutes and companies such as Fujitsu and Shimazu corporations.
One of the points raised during the meeting was the opportunities of cooperation in Wadi Jeddah which is a semi-government company. Wadi Jeddah is one of Saudi Arabia's mega initiatives to leverage king Abdulaziz University research capabilities, and mobilize, engage and oversight investments in knowledge-based sectors.
Dr. Osama Al Tayeb also participated in the 8th edition of The Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum held in Kyoto.
